A calling rooted in prayer

60 Minutes with God began with an instruction that initially felt unusual: women were to gather and pray for sixty minutes, sitting on the floor or taking any position before God, but using no chairs. June questioned the instruction, chose to obey it, and that posture of surrender became part of the ministry’s foundation.
The fellowship has continued to create room for prayer, Bible study, fasting, thanksgiving, spiritual reflection, and mutual encouragement. Women from different backgrounds and stages of life are welcomed into a community where they can seek God honestly, strengthen their faith, and support one another.
June’s leadership is not built around spectacle. It is built around listening carefully, responding faithfully, and encouraging women to apply biblical principles to the responsibilities they carry every day.

As a mother and grandmother, June brings personal experience, compassion, and practical wisdom to her leadership. Family is not an additional interest beside her ministry. It is central to how she understands responsibility, influence, and legacy.
She believes children need more than provision. They also need presence, guidance, encouragement, values, and strong spiritual foundations. Her work therefore places particular emphasis on mothers, children, and the relationships that shape life inside the home.

June recognises grandparents as carriers of family history, faith, stability, and lived wisdom. She encourages patient conversation between generations, shared experiences, prayer, and understanding in place of criticism or withdrawal.
This intergenerational commitment also shapes her vision for helping grandmothers build stronger relationships with teenage and young adult grandchildren in a rapidly changing digital world.
Alongside her ministerial responsibilities, June’s commitment to service reaches across generations: she volunteers to teach street-connected children in Nigeria and supports older people through Age UK. Her work in education reflects a longstanding commitment to children and the development of future generations.
